Congratulations to Ethan Taylor, the 2024–2025 recipient of the Tim W. Neubert – Neubert Aero Corp. Endowed Scholarship for Civil Engineering at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
Established to recognize academically successful upperclassmen who demonstrate a clear passion for civil engineering, the Neubert Scholarship continues to make a lasting impact. Since its inception, seven talented students have benefited from this award. Through thoughtful investment and continued generosity from donors, the endowment continues to grow – along with the potential of those it supports.
This year’s scholarship awarded $3,956 to Ethan, a senior civil engineering student with an extraordinary path ahead. With plans to commission as an officer in the United States Air Force following his Spring 2026 graduation, Ethan is setting his sights high. Inspired by a family friend who is a structural engineer specializing in water projects, Ethan is passionate about a career in the field. While serving his country, his dream is to earn a place with RED HORSE (Rapid Engineer Deployable Heavy Operational Repair Squadron), a highly selective special operations unit of civil engineers who rapidly design and repair airfields in remote, hostile circumstances. After his military duty is complete, his goal is to build a career that combines his love of engineering and flight with a passion for leadership and service. He hopes to design bridges, dams, and other hydrology structures to serve communities, build industry, and protect lives. In his own words, Ethan shared how the scholarship has made a profound difference in his academic journey:
