It all started in February 1998 with a bandsaw, a pile of PVC pipe, and a neighbor willing to get messy.

When Neubert Aero Corp landed its first contract — supplying hundreds of airfield barricades to Orlando International Airport — founder Tim Neubert didn’t have a factory. He had a front yard in Tampa, a roll of reflective tape, and 15 years of airport executive experience telling him exactly what the airfield safety market needed. He hauled in 10-inch PVC pipe cut to 20-foot lengths, recruited the neighbor next door, and the two of them spent long days on the bandsaw, splitting pipe in half — lengthwise and widthwise — turning raw materials into runway-ready safety equipment one dusty cut at a time.

It made a real mess. The neighbors noticed.

When complaints started circulating that the yard looked more like a job site than a home, Tim had a ready answer: “Oh, this is a church project.” Nobody called the City. The job was done in five days.

Twenty-eight years later, Neubert Aero Corp is an ISO 9001:2015 certified, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, and that humble PVC barricade has evolved into the BLOCKHEAD® — a UV-resistant, high-visibility engineered barricade trusted by airports across the country. Wind-tunnel tested at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Built to take a hit and stay standing. Designed from the ground up to meet the demanding standards of modern airport operations.

Same mission. Exponentially better product. Still made with the same veteran-owned grit that started it all in a Tampa front yard.
