Neubert Aero Corp. to Support Andrews Air Force Base and Air Force One
Clearwater, FL – September 18, 2008 Neubert Aero Corp. is proud to announce that it will deliver the Dynamic Friction Tester (NAC DFT) to Andrews Air Force Base in October 2008.
The United States Air Force has ordered the NAC Dynamic Friction Tester (DFT) as a replacement of their existing Mu Meter Mk6 device, a design using out dated technology. The DFT has been reported by industry experts to be the most accurate and repeatable friction data collection device available for performing runway pavement assessments. Independent friction trials performed by the International Friction Pavement Association have proven repeatability of the DFT data to within 3% - statistically & significantly more reliable than any other production equipment. The DFT measures the frictional properties of the runway surface while the device remains stable at performance speeds, transmitting data wirelessly to the vehicle cab and then disseminated to both arriving and departing aircraft. More significantly, the DFT also measures surface contaminates, such as, snow, rain, slush, and rubber deposits allowing the airfield operator to more accurately monitor surface conditions for added safety.
Tim Neubert, President of NAC states, “It is a great privilege our Unites States Air Force has selected the NAC Dynamic Friction Tester to be used in supporting the safety of the President of the United States and the entire Executive Branch.” The preferred selection of NAC equipment over competitor devices is the ultimate compliment to the integrity, reliability, and quality that is representative of the Dynamic Friction Tester and other NAC products.
