Clearwater, FL – December 3, 2008 Neubert Aero Corp. (NAC) is pleased to introduce the newly redesigned Dynamic Friction TesterTM (DFT), now called the “Green Dragon”. The Green Dragon uses no gasoline and has a unique solar battery recharging system allowing airports to perform required runway friction assessments without refueling or hazards.
The DFT measures surface friction values on runways which are critical to pilots during winter operations. The DFT is the only “Made in America” trailer mounted system; with these latest modifications the device is able to be used for longer periods reducing delays and improving efficiency. Tim Neubert, NAC President states: "We are very pleased with the performance, accuracy and repeatability the new DFT Green Dragon.
